VirtualFamily representatives have a vital role to play as members of advisory boards, committees, and councils and it is important to feel confident and well-resourced in this work. This training will provide information, tools, strategies, and support for family members, caregivers, and peers who are serving as advocates in elevating the family voice.

We have been talking a lot about brave conversations with children this year, let's get the ball rolling with a safe space to have some brave conversations with each other! There will also be an opportunity to sign-up for some practice based coaching around the Parent Café curriculum. No parenting experience required, just a desire to make the world a more just place for children and ourselves. We'd love to have you join us! This training will be mostly in English with opportunities for small group work in Spanish and English.

Sensory Make ‘n’ Take

There will be 3 stations to explore and some make-and-take opportunities. We will be using non-toxic ingredients to make sensory bags, various sensory Play-Doh's, engaging in hands on playtime with sensory items in classrooms that often get overlooked, and exploring various items from the Early Childhood CARES library that are available to support children on IFSP's. Recipes and how it all links to child development and TS GOLD objectives will also be included.
