Working with Families Experiencing Housing Instability, presented by Chava Kronen

Become familiar with the role our Housing Outreach Specialist plays in supporting families that are at risk or experiencing homelessness. You will learn about the Homes for Good Project Based Voucher program, rent and utility assistance programs and how to support parents/caregivers in becoming renters. We will also have a brief update on the current legislative issues related to renters. Limit 25.

All Aboard the Allyship, presented by Transponder

Genuine allyship is an active, consistent practice advocating for marginalized groups. This training will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of terms and definitions, the responsibilities of an ally, and the pillars of allyship. Attendees will learn ways to actively advocate, practice interrupting microaggressions with micro-interventions, and discuss our opportunities to practice allyship every day. Limit 50.

Working with Families Experiencing Family and Intimate Partner Violence, presented by Tina Moore

Develop an understanding of family violence, intimate partner violence, and how it shows up in the families we work with. Discussion will also include ways to respond to children’s disclosure of violence. Limit 25.
