An Introduction to Health Literacy
October is Health Literacy Month! Incorporating best practices for health literacy will improve communication and understanding for children, families, and staff in Head Start programs. Healthy People 2030 introduces an updated definition of health literacy as being two-pronged: personal and organizational. In this webinar, we explore this revised definition, demonstrate how health communication is a process, and explain the importance of incorporating health-literate practices into service delivery.
