Patty is the rockstar central office receptionist! She’s the cheerful face and voice that welcomes our visitors every day. She’s the superhero of first impressions, just like all our receptionists. Patty has been a part of the Early Head Start program and provides valuable support to the Enrollment Department. We love her ability to be wherever she’s needed most – like swooping in to help interpret for families! Go Patty Go!

Are you a parent?
I am a parent of 3 although none of my children attended Head Start a little family member is currently enrolled.
Are you from Oregon?
I lived in Sun Valley California and moved to Oregon in 2019. I am not from Oregon but fell in love with Oregon since I was a teen I visited my sister in Coos Bay and always said to myself when I grow up, I will move to Oregon and buy my house. Today I am living my dream.
What surprised you the most about Head Start?
What surprised me the most about Head Start is all the resources provided to many parents and staff. I know there have been times that many parents feel stressed and feel like it’s a scary roller coaster but with Head Start many have come to join and make it a fun and enjoyable ride.
I enjoy seeing kiddos come in the first day scared, but then go home crying for not wanting to go home because of how fun Head Start was for them. I love seeing their beautiful smiles from their hello’s to their goodbyes are the greatest moments.
Being part of the Head Start Family has been an amazing experience. Remember to care for yourself and your family. No matter how hard life has treated you there is always someone to hear you out.  MCS-LC Crisis Line Call (541) 682 – 1001 or Txt 988. 911– Operators will route calls to MCS-LC is appropriate. Crisis Lines operate 24/7. I know Head Start has helped me on my roller coaster with mental health and I am very grateful.
Thank you to all for all the support.
