Sometimes life circumstances are beyond our control. Sometimes Head Start comes into a person’s life just at the right time. Sometimes we hear back how much it meant to that family.
This is one of those times. With permission, we share this parent’s story….
After being evicted from their apartment the family had to leave many of their belongings behind. The Bag of Love that they received was such a huge blessing for the family proving them with a great mix of season appropriate clothing and fun toys and activities for their child.
It was a huge relief because they now don’t have to try to stretch their budget any further to replace thing that were lost in the move.
Yesterday the boys came to school wearing some of the clothes that they had received and they told me (staff) repeatedly how happy and thankful they were for their new toys, clothes and pajamas.
They also told me that their older brother was very excited about his bag and that he was able to buy some shoes with some money in his bag.
