I am/was not a Head Start parent, but many of the children in my life have attended Head Start, and I know from first hand accounts how much this program and our staff can affect families and their children’s success!
Are you from Oregon?
I am from Oregon! I was born in a wonderful community just outside of Lorane (fun fact we lived in a renovated school bus) before moving to Cottage Grove where I have lived for the majority of my life
What would you tell a parent about HSOLC that they really should know?
I would tell parents that HSOLC is so much more than a preschool. HSOLC employees deeply care not just about your kiddos, but also about you. We want to see everyone succeed and work hard to ensure that our families and the children that we serve can advocate for themselves and find the resources they need. Also shoutout to Early Head Start, if your kiddos are under 3 or you are an expectant parent we still offer amazing education and family advocacy through our EHS Homebase program and EHS classrooms!
