A More Perfect Union Café-Where Parenting and Social Justice Combine. We have been talking a lot about brave conversations with children this year, let’s get the ball rolling with a safe space to have some brave conversations with each other! There will also be an opportunity to sign-up for some practice based coaching around the Parent Café curriculum. No parenting experience required, just a desire to make the world a more just place for children and ourselves. We’d love to have you join us! Sensory Make ‘n’ Take

Join us for a fun, hands on, stress relieving, exploration on sensory play in the classroom. There will be 3 stations to explore and some make-and-take opportunities. We will be using non-toxic ingredients to make sensory bags, various sensory Play-Doh’s, engaging in hands on playtime with sensory items in classrooms that often get overlooked, and exploring various items from the Early Childhood CARES library that are available to support children on IFSP’s. Recipes and how it all links to child development and TS GOLD objectives will also be included. Limit 30; register in advance.

Picky eating and beyond- Eating is a process. Learn tips to help parents through the “food jags” and support development of adventurous eaters.
Microsoft Teams from 2:00-3:00pm

This training is geared towards staff who have never attended a Creating Connections training regarding Classroom Management strategies, or staff who want to revisit. We will be covering five strategies, with some time spent in break out rooms for practice. Participants would benefit from having a Creating Connections for Teachers binder to view, and also scratch paper and a pen or pencil. EHS staff are encouraged to attend, though staff may need to make modifications and individualize according the needs of their families and developmental stages of their children. Compassion Fatigue

Compassion fatigue can be described as the personal suffering linked to an intense sharing of another’s traumatic experiences in a work environment with high demands. To stay healthy and productive in such an environment requires both self-care and individual skill building. In this workshop we’ll explore the concept of compassion fatigue and experience and practice self-awareness and -regulation techniques.
